WAFB television began broadcasting in Baton Rouge, La. in 1953. Sometime in the early 1980's the station donated over 1,300 reels of 16mm magnetic film with sound containg raw news footage to the East Baton Rouge Parish Library. In 2010 the BatFor more information on this collection and other films call 225-231-3752.on Rouge Room Archives undertook a project to have these films digitized. On this page, you will find a sample of the films which date between 1975 and 1979. Films display in mp4 format and are downloadable. Copyright is retained by WAFB Television.
