Text, October 14, 1905. Joe Albert, Healer Mulcted Out of $25. Description of Joseph Albert, "Oriental Professor", "Industrial Mechanic", "Chronic Disease Curing" and "P.S." is fined on the charge of being a dangerous and auspicious character and fortune-teller. Albert cheated a man, Robert Avery, out of money on claiming he could cure his injuries. Avery later reported Albert to the police for practicing medicine without a license. Albert spoke little English, fluent Spanish, and dressed as a Hindu fakir.
