View of a group of eight female swimmers relaxing on a wooden platform beneath a pier at Spanish Fort. A partially visible slogan is seen on the jersey of one of the girls and appears to be the letters WHG, possibly referring to the Women Honors Guard as per photographers title or notes accompanying this plate. All the girls on the platform are wearing a head covering, either a tight fitting swim cap or bandana. One girl is seen swimming in the lake. The wooden pier extends out over the lake and into the far distance of the view. A formally dressed man stands at a distance on the pier, observing the swimmers. Other people are also visible on the pier and some appear to be fishing.
