Abstract
True copy of plat and survey of land of Gilberto Andry and Ursino Bouligny, 1808, copy made 1843. The 2000 arpanes was granted to Ursino Bouligny on Dec. 18, 1808, on a plot of land situated in the District of Baton Rouge bordering lands of Gilberto Andy, Juan Bauto Labatut, and Domingo Bouligny. The plots are noted to be, "in straight 'perchas,' of paris." "Survey made by Pintado" - p. [4].

Plat of land in the district of the Tchefuncta River and Lake Ponchartrain, for Mariana Joyeuse [i. e. Marie Anne Chauvin de Joyeuse] widow of Hugues Hernetus Crebs [i. e. Hugo Ernestus von Krebs]. Land surveyed by Don Carlos Trudeau [i. e. Charles L. Trudeau], surveyor general of Spanish Louisiana. The plat was verified and accepted in the presence of Brazilio Crebs [i. e. Basile von Krebs], son of Mariana.

Abstract
The Bradford family settled in East Feliciana Parish and owned large tracts of land that extended into the plains area of Northern East Baton Rouge Parish, also known as Buhler's Plains. The map of four tracts of land, was granted by the Spanish government to David Bradford, esq., deceas'd [i. e. deceased], for himself and three of his sons, situated on a branch of Redwood Creek near the Plains called Buhler's. The survey refers to an 1802 Spanish land patent of Abelard Bradford, son of David Bradford. The tract of land was surveyed by Christopher Bollino.

Abstract
True copy of a survey of a tract of land near the Mississippi River, Pointe Coupee, Eastern District of Territory of Orleans, for Major General La Fayette, made by C. [Charles] Morgan. In recognition for his military service and monetary support of the United States' cause in the American Revolution, in 1803 Congress voted to give Lafayette a grant of 11,520 acres of land, eventually located in Louisiana. Verification that the land was not claimed by other persons is also on the document and signed by B. [Benedicte] Van Pradelles, Register of the Land Office of the Eastern District of the Territory of Orleans. The original plat was made Feb. 11, 1808; this copy is noted to have been sent to the Surveyor General's Office of Donaldsonville, La., Oct. 3rd, 1849. On p. [2] of the document, R. W. Boyd, Surveyor General, notes, "The foregoing is a true copy of an unauthenticated document, sent to this office with a letter, dated February 1st 1836, from the commissioner of the General Land Office, and now on file in this office."

Abstract
After the Natchez massacre of 1729, authorities attempted to fortify New Orleans. Engineer Pierre Baron proposed the construction of a moat. The incomplete moat appears on this manuscript map, which was copied from Gonichons plan of a few years earlier. By 1732, the fortification project had been abandoned. Also by this date, the Louisiana colony had been transferred to the king of France from the Company of the Indies, the bankrupt firm responsible for the initial settlement of the territory and the founding of New Orleans. The date of the transfer was July 1, 1731.
