Description
Sculpture of Mary and Joseph of Nazareth is carved from a single piece of wood. Joseph is standing at a table in the background with a plane he is using on the table. He is wearing overalls and a shirt and he has long hair. Mary is seated on a block stool and is depicted wearing a dress and head covering and holding baby Jesus who has a crown on his head. The base is decorated with carved flowers and a scroll design with a cock bead on the top and bottom edge. The piece has cracked and has been secured with a strip of wood screwed on either side of the crack and the crack has been filled.
