Abstract
Sampler executed by "Mary S. Hobbs June 2". A wide undulating border of green and white decorative motif. Four alphabets executed different with embroidery stitches. Each register is separated by different decorative motifs. The name of the young woman who executed the piece is embroidered on the bottom register.
